Well you've probably heard this all before but its the same as always really:
1) Get lots of sleep.
It helps you renew skins and keeps in fresh. It also erradicated dark circles and blotchy patches
2) Wash your face regularly to get rid of dirt and keep it fresh. Use warm water
3) Drink lots of water, it washes out your skin, keeps it clear and leaves you glowing.
4) Get some vitamin C, such as oranges or lemons, basically citrusy stuff. It clears away bacteria and again, for some reason keeps your skin really clear.
5) Calcium like milk does the same
6) And lastly dont use loads of products on your skin, maybe one or two and not everyday, most are very harsh and can damage your skin and make it greasy or dry, its best to keep it natural
Hope this helped :)What can I do to avoid getting acne or breakouts without having to buy any expensive things?
wash your face with warm water and soap. What can I do to avoid getting acne or breakouts without having to buy any expensive things?
Make sure you're removing your makeup before bed, and buy some inexpensive face cleanser.. like neutrogena or something similar. Also, be sure to moisturize.
I would also be aware of what you are eating and drinking. Sometimes eating or drinking very acidic foods can cause breakouts, chocolate can also cause breakouts in some people.
I use clean and smooth and love i haven't had a break out since Dec. It is 27.00 w/ shipping but will easily last 3 months. Get it from ebay. Before this I had tried everything even proactiv. The other thing that helped alot was oatmeal soap (walgreens $3.00) and tea trea oil at night(walmart in the viataim section $5.00)
If you wash your face every night before bed that will help clean your pores out. Also, remember to not put your hands on your face. I used to have the same problem, and now that I wash my face every night I don't have much of an issue. Your age may have something to do with it also. St.Ives products are affordable, and work well.
wash your face with warm water %26amp; mild soap twice a day
do not use soap, it clogs up pores and also makes skin dry.
eat plently of fruit and veg and drink lots or water. Also dont eat too much chocolate.
i have the same problem and i find this helps.
wash your face with soap! however if u have acne problems u should visit your beautician once a month for acne treatment:)

What is the best way to treat Acne?
What is the best, healthy and economic way of treating Acne problems when you are 19?
I'm Vegetarian i and i always eat healthy food so i know for sure the problem doesn't have to do with anything i eat or don't eat.
I think my problem is hormonal.
What is the best way to treat the problem? What is the best way to treat Acne?
i had acne and i tried everything from clearasil to proactiv and nothing worked, i mean, it would go for a week or two and then come back as bad as ever. so i went to my GP and they prescribed me with Zineryt. it is actually the ONLY thing which has ever properly worked, i've been using it for just under a year now and i have no spots or blemishes, although i do have dry skin but daily moisturising does the trick.
don't hesitate to see your doctor or gp because once you get a prescription that's right for you, you're skin will be clear for the rest of your life :)
good luckWhat is the best way to treat Acne?
for just one or two acne spots i use a little toothpaste and it makes them dry out.
one piece of advice PRO ACTIVE!!
if you have health insurance, see a dermatologist.
NOT proactive...go see a dermatologist
Drink plenty of water.
Use acne cream with benzoyl peroxide for on the spot treatment (on existing acne)
Use cleanser, moisturizer containing salicylic acid for preventative maintenance.
Toners with witch hazel and tea tree (antiseptic) are also good for keeping pores clean.
These items can all be purchased for less then $10.00
To get rid of acne. Try a gentle cleanser. One that is glycerin or sorbitol based will be good and it does not need to be expensive. Cetaphil and Neutrogena has some pretty good ones. Try Cetaphil庐 Gentle Skin Cleanser.
Wash your face at least twice a day and everytime after you perspire. If your skin is the oily kind, you do not need to apply any moisturizer, your skin oils are enough to keep it hydrated. If you really must apply a gentle light oil free one. Cetaphil庐 Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 or Cetaphil庐 Moisturizing Lotion is quite good
Apply pimple cream to the acne area. Try benzoyl peroxide low strength(2.5%) first. You can try oxy, panoxyl or Neutrogena brands. Neutrogena on-the-spot is pretty good. Don't pick poke scrub or pop your pimples unless you want scars which are really ugly. Scrubbing cleansers or washes are also no-nos because it equals picking and poking and makes acne worse Treated pimples gently.
Eat healthy. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Cut down on sugar and carb intake. Foods like chocolates, coffee, soda drinks, bread, rice potatoes or anything starchy and sugary are no-nos. Cut down on oily and fried foods also. Go for grilled, steamed or baked food. Make sure you eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Ensure that your diet is rich in vitamin A, B5, C, E and Omega-3 which are important for the skin. Less stress and sleeping enough is also important. Not having enough sleep is like putting stress on your body. Makes sure you sleep at least 8 hours a day.
Visit a dermatologist if it doesn't work or worsen. Products can only help that much. You may need to tackle the problem internally with medication.

Foods to eat when trying to prevent acne?
I'm currently using proactiv to treat my acne. It's working, but very slowly. Now I'm thinking I want to choose what to eat much more carefully.
I'm trying to avoid oily foods and sweet things. But what foods SHOULD I eat? Fruits? Vegetables? Any vitamins that I should take?Foods to eat when trying to prevent acne?
Include green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Drink a lot of water regularly to flush out toxins. Avoid deep fried snacks.Hope this link helps with more remedies .Foods to eat when trying to prevent acne?
read tips on treating acne, skincare, home remedies and healthier eating on this site
Leafy vegetables, and specially radish is good.
I have a theory now it is just my theory and no one else's. I think that you naturally have oily skin. If you do then you need to wash your face with plain soap and water everyday several times a day. You see my son has started to get acne too and I was looking at his skin and it seemed to me to be very oily so I started him on the process of washing it several times a day and it has improved but he is young and does not like to work that hard at things so we get a few break outs and I get on to him about his washing habits. You see it isn't that he is dirty or even his face its just that washing the face will help dry out the oils and prevent your breakouts. Just a theory, hope this helped.

Does Acne get worse before getting better?
I have really bad acnce so I started taking proactive. Since I have started using it, my acne has doubled. Is this a normal process in all acne treatment?Does Acne get worse before getting better?
Yes, with Proactiv that is very normal. The way that it works is that while you have the acne that you see on your skin, there is another cycle of acne building up. All of that dirt, oil, and bacteria festers in your skin for along time before going to the surface in the form of acne. What Proactiv will do is pull all of that to the surface, so your next couple of months of acne all come out at once. Since there is nothing left building in the skin, after that clears up there is nothing more to break you out. So if you keep up with good maintnence and care, your skin should stay clear. That is why it tells you to wait 6-8 weeks for optimal results. Good luck!Does Acne get worse before getting better?
this is TOTALLY normal!! so dont worry (:! what is happening is that the acne system is bringing up the nasty dirt from your pores. it is on the top of your skin so you will get a break out. but soon the break out will go away
this happened with my friend and i using acne free too!
hope this helps! (:
try milk and lemon this really works i have tried it!! it will smell abit but do u want a clear face or not?
first put one spoon of milk and then hafe of the lemon and mix well, use a cotton wool to apply on your face . put this at night before u go to bed or u can let it dry and wash it off.....
i hope this works 4 u :)
not sure about this but if you are looking for an alternative solution...
i went to the doctor about my acne and she advised me to change my shampoo to a mild one and gave me a treatment called zineyrt
since then my acne has completely gone
:D yay me !
Yay you if you do the same!
YAY US!
Any time you start a new skin care system you will have some breakouts. If you were not using anything but soap and water before the proactive will bring imputities that were deep in the skin to the surface resulting in more blemishes. I will tell you however that proactive can be very harsh and drying to the skin with regular use.
yes it is called purging.
After you unclog your pores where the hell do you think it goes? It is really normal especially after starting a new regimen.

Should I buy clearasil pads to treat acne? Or should I but something else?
I have been reading some reviews lately saying clearasil pads work, or they make it worse.
My question is, should I buy it or not. If not, what should I buy?(Tell me a place where I could buy it at like a local store, walmart, walgreens, etc)
I have been told to buy this thing called ';panoxyl 5% gel'; but I heard some bad stuff if it touches other parts then just skin.Should I buy clearasil pads to treat acne? Or should I but something else?
they make them worse. try this.
You should give tea tree oil a shot. I had mild acne for a while and even tho I washed my face every night I still had acne. So I used tea tree oil and within a week my acne was pretty much gone except for a few spots here and there, which will fade soon too.
Tea tree oil can be used for any skin type even if you have very sensitive skin. And in that case I would dilute the oil with either water or aloe vera gel, which you can get at any drug store.
There are only two downsides to tea tree oil and that is that the smell is pretty strong, and it can dry out your skin a little, which can be taken care of by using a moisturizer.
The oil can be found in any drugstore/grocery store/health store in the same isle as the finger nail polish remover for about $6. There are many different kinds but you can get whatever brand as long as it says 100% tea tree oil.
I would recommend putting it on at night before you go to sleep.
If you have any more questions there are many websites about this product, or feel free to ask me.Should I buy clearasil pads to treat acne? Or should I but something else?
Hey! why dont you try out these simple homemade recipes, try your luck hopefully they'll work out (inshallah- if god wants)
THE FIRST RECIPE:
take a Cauliflower and squeeze and drain its juice then apply the juice on the acne
THE NEXT RECIPE: take 1/3 cup cocoa ,
3 tsp of heavy cream ,
1/3 cup of ripe papaya,
? Cup honey ,
3 tsp of oatmeal powder ,
Mix cocoa and heavy cream in a container. Add the ripe papaya and continue stirring with honey. Mix them thoroughly and add the oatmeal powder. Continue Stirring until it will turn into thick creamy paste. Apply on the acne. Rinse with lukewarm water. It is safe to do this everyday or use this alternately.
wish you good luck!
this is only if you have really bad acne. i was lucky but my brother wasn;t at all. he had REALLY bad acne. if you ask a dermatolygyst about acutaine (spelled wrong most likely) it works and you face wont have NOT ONE break out. but its strong and you need a presciption. ----i hope i helped.
Use a dab of toothpaste on the offending blemish. Put it on right before you go to bed, and the blemish will be at least 75% to 95% gone by morning.
Okay For me i didn't like clearasil but I have used Proactive and it worked GREAT then I bought the Nuetragena Wave and I loved That!So Everyday I use ProActiv Once then use the Wave Everyday Morning and Night!
I love clearasil! All of their products work so amazingly! I would pair the pads with the 4 step kit.. You need to toner and the moisturizer for really great skin!
i dont think clearisil or anything like that works..you should try pro-active...its very good and works brilliantly!! good luck...

There are many medicated acne lotions available over-the-counter without a prescription. Find one that contains Benzoyl Peroxide. Benzoyl Peroxide kills the bacteria that causes acne. It can bleach certain fabrics, so make sure that it has fully absorbed into your skin before getting dressed.
If you have severe forehead acne, standard over-the-counter medications may not be enough. You may want to see a dermatologist, who will prescribe antibiotics to kill the Propionibacterium acne bacteria. There are topical antibiotics and stronger oral ones. They are extremely effective, but may also have unintended side effects. Some people experience severe allergic reactions including rashes and fever.

I Use This Stuff Called, ';Clearasil 4 Hours'; And It Does Amazing Work.
I Put It On My Whole Face, Like A Lotion, And It Makes My Face Very Smooth And Super Clear. If You Have Acne, It Gets Rid of It In A Little Less Than 4 Hours
I Use It 3-5 Times A Day
Try neutrogena deep clean creme cleanser. The stuff in the bottle is white. Also, something that might be causing the zits is hairspray or hair products.

What are the best skin treatments for acne scarring and large pores?
Accutane is really good for both, but I wouldn't take it unless you don't mind being suicidal. What are the best skin treatments for acne scarring and large pores?
PROACTIVE DUH!!!!!!!What are the best skin treatments for acne scarring and large pores?
If the acne is gone, and just scars are left, then microdermabrasion is perfect for that and large pores. The at home options are gentle enough (and a lot less expensive) too use once a week. It tightens pores and visually shrinks them, and removes the top layer of dead skin, helping you to get down to the new, healthy, unscared skin underneath. The BEST one I've ever tried is from BeautiControl. You can get it at www.beautipage.com/
andrea_piper
so far pro active is the best. I use it and works great. Go get a 30 day trial and try it for yourself. It will either work or not. But in most cases it works so why not try it.
mix honey with olive oil and live it on your face for about 20 minutes and yuo see the diference right away.
Actually you can clear all that up in about six to eight weeks permenantly using aloe vera gel from a fresh plant. Just cut a piece of about two inches long from a large plant. Wash your face thoroughly with a soap like ivory (the white bar) and pat your face dry. Then smear the aloe vera gel from the leaf all over your face. It will not harm your eyes either. Let it set. Do this in the morning and in the evening before bed. You will be amazed at the results. And if you alter your diet to inclued more vegetables and fruits and less meat, it will clear everything up faster. Aloe Vera is what is used on burn patients to clear up scarring from severe burns.
The only substance that penatrates the pores is beta-hydroxy acid ... aka salicylic acid. It is available in many forms of cleansers, toners, moisturizers, etc. The size of your pores cannot be changed, but if you clean deep inside, they will appear smaller. Microdermabrasion and alpha-hydroxy acids (like glycolic acid) are great for the skin surface and will slough off dead skin cells but will not penetrate the pores.myspace

What acne medications work the best?
ok so out of a 10 rating my acne is like a 5. benzoyl peroxide seemed to work for a bit but then it stopped working! i have had acne since 4th grade and now im in 7th so i hav had this for awhile but i want it to be gone! can u help?? no one should ever be cursed with these horrible red blotches on their face! i would never wish this on anybody!!What acne medications work the best?
I would recommend Aveeno Clear Complexion Cleanser and Moisturizer. It is more natural than the other products, and is gentle on your skin.
Here are some tips:
-drink plenty of water (6-8 glasses a day)
-eat your fruits and veggies!
-exercise (make sure you wash your face after though :))
-do not pick/touch/rub your face
-limit your sugar intake
-reduce the amount of stress in your life
There are also masks made of oatmeal, honey, rosewater and other household products that make great masks! Try googling these items and there should be masks that you can make.
By following these guidlines, you are on your way to healthier skin! What acne medications work the best?
I use different types together. Pro-active works, but I don't use that. First, I use the Nuetrogena Wave over my face, targeting oilier spots like the forehead. Then, I use either Nuetrogena On-The-Spot acne cream, or Clean%26amp;Clear acne cream on my zits (all of them, even the ones that are starting to show!). Then I put on Aveeno Daily Moisturizer lotion over my face to keep it smooth. This may not work for some types of skin, but it works for mine!
Ok, my face is clean and I have never had bad acne. (Just when I forgot to wash my face.) I use Bore. You can get it at Walgreen's, Target, and Wal-Mart. It work on sensative skin. Amy

Here are some tips:

-eat your fruits and veggies!
-exercise (make sure you wash your face after though :))
-do not pick/touch/rub your face
-limit your sugar intake
-reduce the amount of stress in your life
There are also masks made of oatmeal, honey, rosewater and other household products that make great masks! Try googling these items and there should be masks that you can make.

How would I get rid of my acne?
Its not bad, just i am so sick of it already. How would I get rid of my acne?
Drink lots of water and try not to stress too much about it as stress if known to make acne worse. Also acne goes away pretty fast when you know how to get rid of body toxins. I used this method and has been acne free since then http://morereviewz.googlepages.com/acnef鈥?/a> You can try it if you like. :)
Good LuckHow would I get rid of my acne?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem dot com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.
Consider the excessively-named ';Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment'; as an option for daily treatment. This was widely considered to be one of the best acne treatments available, and works best to prevent acne before it starts, and to prevent minor acne from becoming more serious.
i have a bit of acne and all i do is drink alot of water, they seem to be going quite fast.
ohh and i use clean %26amp; clear deep cleansing cream wash. but i use it as a face mask. i leave it on till it tingles, then i wash it off with a baby wipe.
hope it helps.
Clean your face every morning with cotton ball soaked with apple cider vinegar, might sting a little but very effective, try if you don't have a sensitive skin. Try on a small part first. Helpful solutions for pimples at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/

Does accutane get rid of acne on your back and any where else you have acne?
or is it just for your face?Does accutane get rid of acne on your back and any where else you have acne?
It's an oral drug, not topical. As such, it goes throughout your entire body and dries up all of your sebaceous glands...it isn't able to distinguish between your face and your back.
When I was on Accutane, my back was the first place I noticed results and now it is SO clear. It used to be very blotchy...I would repeat the treatment just for my clear back and chest alone.
Good luck! :]Does accutane get rid of acne on your back and any where else you have acne?
Accutane gets rid of all your acne, it dries it all up, no need to worry if you have some were you dont want to show, itll go away no problem

What is a good face wash from department stores like target that help reduce acne?
I like the Clean and Clear products. My Teen son uses Acne Free (Generic Proactive) and gets good results. If you skin is in any way sensitive, use Nutragena. What is a good face wash from department stores like target that help reduce acne?
Clean %26amp; Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser works great. What is a good face wash from department stores like target that help reduce acne?
Clean and Clear deep cleansing daily face wash.....My kids
praise this stuff....It's the only thing that has seemed to keep
them clear. Besides going to a dermatologist, which can be
very expensive. Clean and Clear also has this same product
for sensitive skin. Try it I think you will love it..
Neutrogena and Clearasil...they help to reduce oil production, which causes acne. Good luck, and I hope it helped!
I use clearasil daily face wash or clean and clear. I have to change it up after a while, so my skin doesn't get too used to it. But they work great for me. They are very gentle to the skin and very inexpensive.
As recommended above, Neutrogena. I would specifically recommend their Oil Free Acne Wash. It is really great stuff, with amazing skin clearing results! Good luck!
My dermotolgist recommends Neutrogena for acne. There are different strengths depending on skin types. Please note that when you start on any treatment, you will most likely get more pimples at first before you see results. but don't get discouraged.
Neutrogena, any type of their face wash works really well.
Noxzema
This has worked for all of my daughters and sons, the results are Fast and Positive...........drink 4 - 6 glasses of water every day, and for any ';problem'; areas use a bit of Nutrogena (sp.)
i used to use procativ but i switched to acnefree which is the same thing , just a lot cheaper. so far , its worked like a charm! good luck!
Well... if you can't afford Proactiv then use any type of deep infigurating cleanser... Something that cleanses your face works better than something meant for acne.
I hope this is too some help.

Steaming your face to get rid of acne?
Ive heard that boiling water and then holding your face over the top of it with a towel draped over your head can help get rid of acne or reduce acne? Is this exfoliating? I done it last night and my face came away feeling soft and the redness had gone down a bit? How often should I do this? I heard that exfoliating too much can cause your skin to produce more oil and give you worse acne? How often should I do this? I also heard that adding a few drops of tea tree oil can help? What do you think?Steaming your face to get rid of acne?
Steaming wont work, it makes you sweat and bring more oils to the surface, therefore enhancing the problem. The only way to fix mild to moderate acne is to wash your face twice a day with a cleanser, use a cleaning toner, and a medicated night cream. If that fails, then you might need a prescription because its obviously more severe.Steaming your face to get rid of acne?
I normally steam my face and then put some nivea for men moisturising cream on my face.I find that helps
the steam opens up your pores, makeing it easier to remove the dirt, but it won't ';cure'; acne
Acne (not zits) can be due to the candida albicans fungus. Tea tree oil is said to be an anti-fungal. It should help. Yogurt, too, is said to help keep the candida albicans fungus under control.
For more info on candida albicans, check out www.hufa.org, the yeast link.
ssplashing with nody temperature water 2 a day can help. Also a prebiotic supplement %26amp; eating bananas.
tea-tree is good as it a natural anti-bacterial.
Please have a look at this site, has some good tips on diet, vitmoans, creams that work etc.
I found a couple of articles but type in acne in search for all results %26amp; look thr', not all r relevant.
that's not exfoliating. exfoliating is using a facial scrub and removing the dead skin cells so your ';live'; skin can breathe. steaming your face just opens up your pores, so not as much oil and dirt can get clogged.
exfoliating too many times isn't good too because it can irritate your skin and make the acne worse. i'm not sure how many times is good, though. also, tea tree oil does help!! it's very cheap. just put some on a cotton ball and wipe it on your face before you go to sleep. it helps kill the bacteria on your skin.
steaming is not exfoliating, but they both work really well to reduce acne. steaming opens your pores, which is good because acne is caused by dirt and bacteria that get trapped in your pores. exfoliating is gently taking off the dead skin cells on your face or body. this is good because those dead skin cells can clog your pores too. steam a few times a week and exfoliate 2 times a week. they sell exfoliating products at wal-mart in the face care isle. i use st. ives or the wal-mart brand works just as well. you might also want to try a facial cleanser and lotion that is made for acne prone skin.
Look into this website, they have some excellent treatments for your problem -
http://www.acnease.com/?source=90358
when you've had enough of the the steam, splash your face with cold water, this will close your pores again and stop dirt getting in..
Steaming is good for opening the pores but won't help with the acne. Go to the local mall and talk to some of the ladies of Clinique or other well known product line. They will give you simple routine that will eliminate it. Or use a very good old fashion remedy but it takes a little getting used to the smell. ALOE VERA. If you can get a leaf wash it will cool water and just remove the skin and apply the gel it has. It is very good and economical for many uses such as burns, insect bites, skin irration, sun burns, and acne.
Good luck......try it on a small area of your face to make sure you do not a reaction to it.
I have used this highly informative information and it worked for me in getting rid of my pesky acne. And you don't need to buy expensive acne cream either! http://www.theknowguide.com/acnefree.htm鈥?/a>
STEAMING OPENS THE PORES SO YOUR FACE IS CLEANSED BETTER.ITS BEST TO DO IT ONCE A WEEK,GET A GENTLE FACE WASH AND ADD A FEW DROPS OF THE TEA TREE OIL TO IT,IT WILL HELP MORE TO REDUCE THE INFECTION, RATHER THAN ADDING IT TO YOUR WATER.myspace

How can i get rid of my acne, quick?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
i'm breaking out between my eyes really bad and it won't go away, how can i make it stop? How can i get rid of my acne, quick?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
You can try Pro-Active it works for some but not all.
http://www.proactiv.com/
Suggestions:
1.) The key is to not overly-dry your skin by over-washing it. It's not dirty, it doesn't need to constantly be washed abrasively, once in the morning and once at night before bed to remove your makeup is enough.
2.) You can use sugar and olive-oil as exfolient, lightly rub in small circles.
3.) Use hypo-allerginic makeup. Make sure you don't keep makeup or use makeup older than it's lifespan use, this is to avoid bacteria that can irritate the skin.
4.)Do not use abrassive or harsh chemicals or products, and don't pick at your blemishes.
5.) Use products specifically with at least 5% Salicylic-Acid, Beta-Hydroy, and Alpha-hydroxy.
6.) Remember, Moisturize and Moisturize.
Also, relieve stress in your life, and change your diet, try acupuncture. Acne is caused by the effects of hormones on sebaceous glands. Alot of times, Acne can be hormonal and caused by stress or by something your un-concientiously allergic to.How can i get rid of my acne, quick?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Acne has many sources, so there is not just one answer. The best option for you right now is to go to a dermatologist (a doctor for the skin) which will identify precisely why do you have acne.
However the doctor might not be particularly helpful in helping you treat it. The issue is that acne comes in most cases (but not all of them) from:
1) hormonal changes, meaning when you're a teenager you get new hormons in your blood and those cause acne. If this is the case the doctor is your best option (but it doesn't mean he will be able to help you. not every case is treatable!)
2) dirty skin. You might not realize it but your skin is incredibly dirty (everyone's skin is), rich with a fauna of microorganisms and bacteria. The skin is the body's protection against outside dirt and infections. in this cause a beautician is your best option. He/she might give good advice on how to clean your skin and eventually get rid of the acne.
3) unbalanced diet. You might not be eating your fruit, vegetables etc. for this you can ask advice to a dietologist. if you don't eat pproperly (e.g. too much fat, salty food and sweets), your body is not going to be able to get rid of these ';eccessive stuff';, so it comes out of the skin in the weakest part (your face: the only part of your skin exposed to light, wind, rain etc. 24/7!!!).
problem with doctors: they are supposed to be experts, but not always are, and not always care (some of them only care that you pay the bill).
My advice? well, i personally don't have problem with my skin, but my mother was a nurse, so I got to choose and pick good doctors. Also my family come from a long line of chefs, and therefore my diet is always properly balanced. On top of that my wife is a make-up artist, and therefore i get good advice about how to take care of my skin (even when I don't ask them).
in your case what you say sounds like you might not have acne but a bad case of rashes, or a allergy. in that case definitively the dermatologist! (that's still my best option).
but if this has been going on for a while (e.g. six or more months)
then check also your diet.
a good company for dietary supplements, vitamins and skin-care products without preservatives inside is called USANA. You can check it out if you want. It's the best in the world as for product quality, but its product do not come cheap. But then again, it's your health!
Take care.
OMG! I used NEOBIOTIC Too!
Here is the deal with it. It is a natural antibiotic ointment that quickly dried up acne with natural ingredients. You can get it alone. or part of some mole removing kit.
The web site is http://www.neobiotic.com
Here is some info about the ointment and what it is made of...
Calendula - FOR REPAIRING WOUNDS %26amp; SCARS:
Calendula is included in NeoBiotic to disinfect minor wounds and to treat infections of the skin. The antibacterial and immuno-stimulant properties of the plant make it extremely useful in treating slow-healing cuts and cuts in people who have compromised immune systems. The herb stimulates the production of collagen at wound sites and minimizes scarring.
Comfrey - FOR PAIN %26amp; SWELLING:
Over 300 participants showed that comfrey leaf treatments like Neobiotic were very effective in treating eczema, dermatitis, viral skin infections and ulcers of the lower leg. More recent research has shown that allantoin, one of comfrey's main constituents, breaks down red blood cells, which could account for its ability to help heal bruises and contusions.
Comfrey should also not be used by pregnant or nursing women.
Plantain - FOR PREVENTING INFECTION:
Plantain has been used as a veritable pharmacopoeia in some Native American cultures. Many of its active constituents show antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, as well as being anti-inflammatory and antitoxic. The leaves, shredded or chewed, are a traditional treatment for insect and animal bites * the antibacterial action helps prevent infection and the anti-inflammatory relieves pain, burning and itching.
St. Johns Wort - FOR PAIN RELIEF:
St. John's wort as a whole herb gives the body ';just enough medicine'; to overcome the physical aches and pains and mild viral infections that keep the brain from recovering from depression. Nineteenth century Eclectic physicians in the United States used St. John's wort to relieve pain caused by injuries to the spine and puncture wounds in the hands and feet.
St. John's Wort extracts may increase sensitivity to sunlight and risk of sunburn, but this is extremely rare when the whole herb is used.
I found this Neobiotic stuff from my friend and it works great on those huge painful zits. It is at a site: http://www.neobiotic.com - All natural pain reliever, and pimple med in one. Works great, reducing swelling, redness, and dry it up in hours.
marykay is the best! but also ive heard that proactive works great. but i know from experience that marykay is awsome.
There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
Calcium sulphate. You can get it from a health food shop or a chemist. Blackmores used to make it in a thing called Celloid Tissue Salts, which are now supposedly only available through naturopaths. There are other manufacturers, depending on where you live.
I know it's a misery, but it's potentially trouble, too. If it's severe, you might need to see a doctor, maybe even a dermatologist. These things can get infected, so be careful.

It'll go away by itself.

Well, first off: DON'T TOUCH IT! That only makes it worse. There are some kinds of medicine that you can buy that have ingredients that can help decrease any redness, and some face washes that work really well.
I would reccommend anything that is Neutrogena, and I find that Johnson %26amp;Johnson babywash can help clear up your face well too. Make sure you wash your face at least twice a day: when you wake up and before you go to bed.
There is NOT a magic cure for this, so give it sometime.
The best way to get clear skin is to see a DERMATOLOGIST for there are very effective presciption medications to combat Acne one being Retina A(over the counter is waste of money for strength not enough in the products -to do any good has to be strength that a prescription is needed to get)If you have hair hanging down into your eyes-keep off the forehead, place where acne is and keep hair clean for oil/bacateria from hair cn get on skin and cause acne. Also get some BROWN VINEGAR-the kind you can get at any health food store and Kroger.Publix-still has all the minerals, esp potassium in it-white has 0 in it so not effective. Dab the brown vinegar on the Acne and leave it on. The B.Vinegar kills Bacteria, dries up excess oil-if the pores are clear of excess oil and Bacteria the eventually acne will clear up for the reasons for it will no longer be there for it to form.Important skin be clean-wash with DOVE and after washing in the AM and the PM with Dove, follow by dabbing on with cotton pad WITCH HAZEL-also can find any health food store Witch Hael is a natural astringent that will keep skin free from excess oil and bacteria(Cannot use the Brown Vinegar twice daily for will dry skin) but the Witch Hazel will not dry esp if you can get the kind with no Alcohol but with Aloe Vera(aloe vera heals inflamed skin %26amp; provides moisture.)The Vinegar use on the Acne until it is gone then switch to the Witch Hazel. If you sweat esp fro head/hair and it dries on the forehead-always 1st opportunity wsh with dove and then with the Brown Vinegar for the sweat if left on the skin forms bacteria and then acne. Whenever I workout/jog etc will once I get home-Dilute @ tablespoons B.Vinegar in 1 cuo warm water and pour over my hair esp making sure I saturate the scalp an dab on the forehead and esp behind the ears-dandruff is caused by a virus not dry skin as once thought-Brown Vinegar kills viruses , bacteria on the skin and also returns skin to normal PH level. Folow my Instructions and within 2 weeks you'll see much improved skin.
this may sound stupid but toothpast works really good. not the gel kind but the pasty kind. also clean and clear has an excellent line of different washes %26amp; 24 hour redness remover products to get rid of that zit and hopefully prevent more to come.
good luck!
for some reason, when my sisters went away to college and all that was left in the shower was a bar of ivory soap, I used it and my acne went away. I hope this helps.
If you ask, How can I get rid of my acne? without the word ';quick'; complementing the rest of the question, there could be an answer.
The body does not do ';quick.'; It prefers deliberations; that is, the fitness of time...
A good suggestion would be to see a physician, a dermatologist (M.D) -- or Naturopathic Physician (N.D.) -- or a Nutritionist (R.D.).
Acne derives from many causes; some might be centered in the endocrine system (hormonal); some might be due to the liver needing certain nutrients or has certain toxins or imbalances, which is probably true for the majority of Americans...with the dreadful diets we have, really dreadful in terms of all the chemicals and toxins we take in from the foods we eat...
You will observe -- if you look closely -- that the people of developing countries or poor countries have little if any acne problems. They simply do not eat the poisons we eat.
Oh, yes, they may indeed have little to eat, but what they do eat most often tends to be very simple, untampered-with foods. And thus the liver is not so readily assaulted. Their skins are smooth.
However, if you can afford to see a dermatologist as a first step, then do so...

Cheap and Easy way to cure acne for good?
I have acne on my chest, shoulders and face. It will be summer soon and I am starting highschool after being homeschooled for 7th and 8th grade. My acne gets better during the summer but during the winter months it is really severe(at least I feel that way) is there a cheap and easy solution that won't stop working after just a little while? I use birth control for my acne and although it helps my face it does nothing for my chest and shoulders. Please Help.
ThanksCheap and Easy way to cure acne for good?
I would go back to your doctor or whoever gave you birth control and tell them that it's not working for your chest and back. There are lots of other prescriptions you can try; most of them can be used along with birth control. You could try an oral antibiotic.
You can try using topicals on your back %26amp; chest. You can get these for fairly cheap from the drugstore. The best one by far is 5 % benzoyl peroxide. It doesn't cure acne (nothing does, unfortunately) but it definitely helps. Put it on clean skin, like after a shower, and spread it everywhere (eg. don't spot treat).Cheap and Easy way to cure acne for good?
. Mix half teaspoon of sandalwood and turmeric powder in a little water and apply it on affected area. It is one of the best home remedies for acne to get clear face. Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne .
Wash your face with warm water and salt. Pat it dry then apply Sesame oil. Sesame oil is antibacterial which will help fight bacteria. Try out and see it should help.

Is it safe to use Clearasil acne product during pregnancy?
I use it occasionally and I am 6 wks pregnant right now, but that is in the back of my head. Just to be on the safe side, if anyone has used it during pregnancy, did it affect ur baby??Is it safe to use Clearasil acne product during pregnancy?
Completely safe, I asked my doctor. Is it safe to use Clearasil acne product during pregnancy?
Make sure you ask you doctor fist.
Better to be safe then sorry.
yes.......maybe.......i dont know
wait...my people are calling me and they told me that yes it is safe
its perfectly safe....
yes it's safe if it's going on your face.
When I was pregnant I had terrible acne. I asked my doctor if I could use anything to clear it up and she told me no! In some acne treatments the main ingredient is Salicylic acid which should not be used during pregnancy. But if the main Ingredient is Benzoyl peroxide it is safe to use. You are still early in your pregnancy so I wouldn't worry about it if you did use it, but if you plan on continuing to use it talk to you doctor to find out what is safe for you and baby!! Good luck and Congrats!!

anything you take as far as medications..needs to be checked out by your OB while you are preg.....NO QUESTIONS asked
I believe salycylic acid is the main ingredient in Clearasil? My doctor said that was okay, but benzoyl peroxide is not. A little a day is not going to hurt baby. It didn't mine anyway. I used salycylic and witch hazel throughout. Good luck and take care! I know acne can be bad during pregnancy, so know you aren't alone. I looked like a 13 year old!
This is perfectly safe to use :)
It is perfectly safe. However, it may affect your skin differently because of hormonal changes. Some women find that products with salicylic acid (the main ingredient in clearasil) dries their skin out more when they are pregnant. But using it wont' hurt your baby at all.
yes, it's safe
it would have to be i dont see why not but if you are that unsure you should consult a physician

How to get rid of my acne?
How can i loose acne.
I have had really bad acne for about a year now.
I am using Proactiv repairing lotion for about 1-2 weeks now, but i havent noticed much of a difference
Do i need to keep using it or should i use something else
I dont know what to do anymore, i just want my acne gone! How to get rid of my acne?
I have really bad acne too. Ive been using clean %26amp; clear and its starting to go away. U just have to find the product that's right for you. If nothings working go to a dermatologist. My cousin had REALLY bad acne. He used proactive and it did not help. He went to a dermatologist and they gave him stuff that cleared up his skin. He doesn't have a single pimple on his face now. hope that helpedHow to get rid of my acne?
What the skin needs is a treatment that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.
Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:
http://www.17acnetreatments.com
P.S. I also know someone who used to suffer from severe acne for 14 YEARS and finally got rid of it completely. She's sharing her story at her site:

Maybe you could learn from her inspirational story

i had really really bad acne too but i bought oxy pads and the wave cleaner and mine all cleared up
i hate proactive. it helped my skin for a bit but then my skin broke out twice as bad after about three weeks.
try toothpaste (white to make the redness go down) as a spot treatment or a mask.
go to your doctor and ask for some oral medications, i find those work the best, as well as the pad things, (Stridex maximum strength seem to work pretty well)
also, dont try to dry up your skin too much, as you can break oiut from your skin being dry as well. although, using oil absorbing pads to make your face less shiny wil also prevent oil build-up.
exfoliate/do a mask once a week.
and avoid greasy, choclaty foods, as well as stress.
wash your face twice a day, and dont touch it. if you pop a pimple, smear it with medication or some sort of alcohol/antiseptic so it doesnt come back.
currently, i'm taking oral antibiotics and using the Steep Clean line by Bliss. its a bit expensive but it worked for me. see if you can get sames somewhere.

I got one of those super scrubby loofahs on a stick. It's super rough and the sponge is rectangular shaped. I put dove liquid soap on it because if you use regular soap, it's drying to the skin and that causes more acne. that sooooo helped me!
I had ';backne'; or whatever about a year ago. Drink lots and lots and lots of water, exfoliate and whatever you do, DONT pick at it, thats the best cure.
If ur really desperate to get rid of it b4 summer, go to the doctor or chemist n ask for advice... It wil take some courage but they do no wot they are talking about n it wil work!!! Good Luck!! : )
just rub that area with ice cubes 3 times a day...until it clears up..u might have to get someone to do this for u
i know someone who also has acne

Good Luck!! : )
just rub that area with ice cubes 3 times a day...until it clears up..u might have to get someone to do this for u
i know someone who also has acne
proactive really helped!

SUCCESS STORIES ARE WELCOME.How do i clear my back acne (bacne) before summer?
so im the writer of the success story lol...
Thats what helped me in less than a month n now i just have little marks n hope they'll go soon.
wash ur back twice a day with a acne soap.
grind neem or mint leaves n apply once on them. on next day u can apply a paste of oatmeal n water. do mint 1 day n oatmeal another day routine for a month.
After bath, sprinkle a talc over back, this would stop the new growth.
Dandruff can be cause -so if u have it use anti dandruff shampoo for ur scalp.
Dont wear any top more than once, same rule applies for under garments , sweat n germs make the bacne grow.
If u can spend money, then putting any acne cream would also speed the process- i dont know if u have it in ur country - i liked metrogyl gel n fucidin, they work gr8 n leave no marks n they are to be used just on back..
drink lot of water n dont trouch or prick ur back ...gud luck... even im waiting for a cleaner back :-p n tanktops n haltersHow do i clear my back acne (bacne) before summer?
2 days after my son started using this product his friend turned him on to his face was 80% clearer. he said you can get 30 facials out of 1 24oz bottle and it rid your skin of all toxins and makes your skin so soft you'll be amazed. My wife tried it and after just 1 masque 15 minutes what a difference.

How to get rid of my acne?
i had really really bad acne too but i bought oxy pads and the wave cleaner and mine all cleared upHow to get rid of my acne?
What the skin needs is a treatment that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.
Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:
http://www.17acnetreatments.com
P.S. I also know someone who used to suffer from severe acne for 14 YEARS and finally got rid of it completely. She's sharing her story at her site:
http://hopurl.com/50020
Maybe you could learn from her inspirational story
.
i hate proactive. it helped my skin for a bit but then my skin broke out twice as bad after about three weeks.
try toothpaste (white to make the redness go down) as a spot treatment or a mask.
go to your doctor and ask for some oral medications, i find those work the best, as well as the pad things, (Stridex maximum strength seem to work pretty well)
also, dont try to dry up your skin too much, as you can break oiut from your skin being dry as well. although, using oil absorbing pads to make your face less shiny wil also prevent oil build-up.
exfoliate/do a mask once a week.
and avoid greasy, choclaty foods, as well as stress.
wash your face twice a day, and dont touch it. if you pop a pimple, smear it with medication or some sort of alcohol/antiseptic so it doesnt come back.
currently, i'm taking oral antibiotics and using the Steep Clean line by Bliss. its a bit expensive but it worked for me. see if you can get sames somewhere.
He doesn't have a single pimple on his face now. hope that helped

Hey Rox!
I don't know about clearing it up that fast, but the best way for you to go would be to consult with a Dermatologist as they are M.D.'s who specialize in the treatment and care of skin! Best Wishes and God_Bless!
cortizone cream. it clears up acne almost instanly. I think you need a perscription though, it's a steroid.

When I was pregnant I had terrible acne. I asked my doctor if I could use anything to clear it up and she told me no! In some acne treatments the main ingredient is Salicylic acid which should not be used during pregnancy. But if the main Ingredient is Benzoyl peroxide it is safe to use. You are still early in your pregnancy so I wouldn't worry about it if you did use it, but if you plan on continuing to use it talk to you doctor to find out what is safe for you and baby!! Good luck and Congrats!!

http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pregnan鈥?/a>Is it safe to use Clearasil acne product during pregnancy?
anything you take as far as medications..needs to be checked out by your OB while you are preg.....NO QUESTIONS asked
yes it's safe if it's going on your face.
I looked like a 13 year old!
it would have to be i dont see why not but if you are that unsure you should consult a physician
its perfectly safe....
It is perfectly safe. However, it may affect your skin differently because of hormonal changes. Some women find that products with salicylic acid (the main ingredient in clearasil) dries their skin out more when they are pregnant. But using it wont' hurt your baby at all.
yes.......maybe.......i dont know
wait...my people are calling me and they told me that yes it is safe
Make sure you ask you doctor fist.
Better to be safe then sorry.
yes, it's safe
This is perfectly safe to use :)
Completely safe, I asked my doctor.

Is it ok to use Neutrogena acne stress control power scrub daily?
Well is it?! I'm on my 2nd day using it night and day, and it's working fine currently, but I'm not sure if it's going to harm me later on. Please give me advice!
Or how often should one use it?Is it ok to use Neutrogena acne stress control power scrub daily?
yeah just use it like once a day ;]Is it ok to use Neutrogena acne stress control power scrub daily?
I have learned that scrubbing your face creates more oil production. If YOU can use it I think every day is too much. I use cetaphil and my face feels clean after.
ok it's fine using day and night but if you start to see your skin drying and peeling a little, then take break for like 5 days and just wash your face with water doing those days :)
How do i get rid of acne? What should i use?
What are some home remedies? Or a cheap product i could use? I have recently broke out on my forehead Its not really that bad but i have a bunch of little tiny bumps everywhere and occasionally get acne on my face. What could i do? I heard toothpaste helps?
Oh and im a 16 year old femaleHow do i get rid of acne? What should i use?
Never, i repeat, never use toothpaste..I've used them and they leave marks on your face. My face is acne prone and i have some bad acne marks. Basically, this is what i do...
1) In the morning, when i get up, i wash my face with normal tap water and a little cleanser to get rid of the oil. I pat dry my skin and leave it for about ten minutes.
2) Then, i apply the mixture of rose water and sandalwood powder and apply them evenly on my face. I apply a little more on the marks and leave them for about 20-25 minutes.
3) I wash them with normal tap water and proceed to shower. After shower, I wash my face with warm water and use oatmeal powder (you can make your own by crushing oatmeal) to scrub my face. Then, i wash it with slightly warm water.
4)I pat dry my skin and after im dressed up, i apply ice cube all over my face before i apply any concealer to cover my scars.
* my friends are really surprised at the progress of my skin. I discovered this method after so many trials and errors. Now, my skin glows and is healthy. How do i get rid of acne? What should i use?
This is what really keeps my acne under control. I cleanse my face with proactive. Next I make a paste of natural dead sea salt minerls, apply this to my face and into the shower while it's steaming. The idea is that my pores open and the dead sea minerals will do it's cleaning action. As soon as I get out of the shower, I again cleanse with proactive. I end by moisturizing my with proactive oil free moisturizer, then applying proactive repairing lotion.
It's a little involved but it's the only thing that works for me. Proactive alone did nothing. I do, however, think that that the natural dead sea minerals would work with any other cleaner/ moisturizer combination.
Yeah toothpaste helps you can also try these. If you have an oily skin wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the pimples like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. If you have a dry skin honey is a great remedy for acne and pimples because the honey kills bacteria. If you have a combination skin when you wash your face, use sugar to scrub it, at least once a day, for two weeks to rid yourself of acne.Try http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/ for more info.
The best thing you can do is go to your doctor and ask her/him to prescribe you oral medication. The creams and over the counter stuff sometimes don't work for everyone and may make your acne even worse and cause scarring! taking pills helps and will save you a ton of money! Just don't get pregnant!!!! Major side affects will happen to your baby!!!!
well i used to have the same problem
some home remedies are:
-a banana-and-honey face mask
-an oatmeal face mask
-brown sugar
there are lots of them
but you should try burt's bees deep cleansing face cream, it makes your face really smooth and it's all natural. you can get it at target.
Toothpaste works for spot treatment, like you have just one or two pimples. If you have a lot I'd use proactiv it's 40 dollars every 2 months and it works great. I use twice everyday and my skin is clear i get compliments on it all the time too.
I'm 16 years old too so I know how having acne feels. But proactive really works:]

Does this seem crazy as an acne prevention treatment?
I use equal parts every thing accept a little less hydrogen peroxide and menthol alcohol for cuts and such. I get witch hazel, rose water, tea tree oil, menthol alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and 10-15 crushed aspirin's. I mix this all up and use it as a toner/ acne treatment. Remember I don't put too much alcohol or peroxide a lot less then the other ingredients. It seems to be working wonder's but do you feel this is harmful in any way's?Does this seem crazy as an acne prevention treatment?
Yes, It might be harmful for you, too much of chemicals. Do not try to play around with chemicals without any proper prescription from the doctor. It might be useful for short period but it might also produce some serious side effects. If you are not visiting a doctor or dermatologist, it is always better to try some home remedies.Because, home remedies are natural and does not cause any side effects (If you are not allergic to certain thing used in the remedy).
I am telling you a home remedy which will not only clear all bumps pimples and scars but also give a glow to your skin and make it look healthier and fresh. Many people are using this and having great results.
Procedure: Take some sandal wood powder with turmeric powder and put few drops of milk or rose water (Just to make it a paste).Mix them all together well and apply it on your whole face and leave for 20-30 minutes then wash your face with water. And if you have rose water then spray on your face.
It would make wonders for you. Do it on daily basis and you will observe the results instantly.

How do I get rid of acne on my shoulders or back?
I have acne on my shoulders and back but it comes and gose BUT I WANT IT GONE .. please help I need some tips or someething ?How do I get rid of acne on my shoulders or back?
If you are using conditioner on your hair, make sure you rinse WELL!
I cannot emphasize this enough. Keep your hair in a pony tail, and always wear fresh shirt every day, not what you wore the day before...or even change shirts 1/2 way throught the day. Make sure your bed-sheets and pillow cases are laundered regularly (at least once per week) and if you are leaning on a couch or chair, vacuum these once per month. Believe me, household cleanliness affects you.
Eat lots of protein and cut back on potatoes and other starchy foods. Eats lots of green leafy vegetables and get lots of sun. (vitamin D is GOOD for the skin)
Drink plenty of water, and when you wash, lather well, and rinse well until your skin feels clean (not rubbery) If possible, get someone to wash your back and shoulders for you. Sometimes the middle of the back between your shoulders is hard to reach..How do I get rid of acne on my shoulders or back?
Acne on your back can be easily subsided when you take a shower take bar soap and thoroughly wash your back. Do this religiously and it should clear up
proactiv or clean and clear face wipes
you can use them on your back
buy some cream or anti acne cleaser, they REALLY work! Good luck!
do not shower with hot water and w.e face washes/products you use on ur sace for ur pimples use it on ur back! (:

My forehead is really oily, severe acne is nothing new for me, what can I do to stop the oil?
You can literally see the oil on my forehead; it glistens. I have sever acne on my forehead but it's getting better. Every night and morning I put salycic acid on it, and it gets better. And every night, morning, and noon, I wash my face with just a washrag and some water. What can I do?My forehead is really oily, severe acne is nothing new for me, what can I do to stop the oil?
my son has been using pine tar soap for a lil over a month now. it has really helped clear it up. he had it really bad. huge sores on his face, back and some on his arms and chest. you can get it thru your pharmacy. it costs about $4 a bar and a bar can last 3-4 wks.My forehead is really oily, severe acne is nothing new for me, what can I do to stop the oil?
I personally use Tea Tree Oil because it is well-known for its drawing properties, meaning it draws the infection (the pimple) out. I also use it on my acne regularly because it reduces the redness within hours of putting it on, and it works amazingly on my pimples to keep them away. It's very safe and doesn't hurt at all.. It is 100% natural with no ';fake'; additives in it or anything like that... Best of all it is cheap and easy to find, such as at Walgreens (if you have one around), or at stores that sell health-foods and natural medicines. It is a very common home remedy and is very handy in medicine cabinets or First Aid Kits because it is a ';cure-all'; meaning it is not just for one thing in particular, it can help with many things.
I use it, and I love it. ProActiv didn't work for me, and nothing else really has either.. but this stuff has pretty much done the trick.
I go through 8 hours of school each day with foundation, etc on and still have oil on my face.. but I have actually noticed I can come home and don't have Any greasy spots on my face from oil... this stuff worked..
Goodluck :)
I know it's expensive, but try that proactive stuff, my friends use it and it works really good.
Try following a basic oily skin care regime.
Another person recently asked about skin oiliness as well and you might want to look at that answer as well as this site where dermatologist's answer questions:

You're right to wash 2-3 times a day. Doc also suggest blotting and I understand that tissue paper, like for wrapping gifts (the white stuff, not just wrapping paper or anything with ';stuff'; in it) can work as well to BLOT the face.
Drinking water seems to be a good idea.
Not using alcohol seems to be good (drying the skin will cause the oil glands to work overtime). Instead witch hazel is more recommended as the astringent.
At that site the doc has specific recommendations and evaluates some other treatments. I've never used anything (not even make up) so I can't speak personally about any of those treatments, etc.

How can i get rid of acne fast and without wasting money?
how can you get rid of acne fast!!!i need help, i want to know how to rid of acne on your own without buying any product..please help meHow can i get rid of acne fast and without wasting money?
Acne treatment products are a multi-million dollar industry. They are designed to treat your acne, but keep you breaking out at the same time. Clearisil, Proactive, Murad -- all are EVIL corporations!
There is indeed a 100% miracle cure for acne that is cheaper than you could ever imagine!!! It's only 3 bucks for 3 bars of soap! And I swear to God almighty it will work for you no matter what skin type you have!
I've used every acne product there is, including proactive which did an OK job, but I always still had at least one pimple at all times. Then I ran out, and I just used my Irish Spring (with aloe) bar soap on my face, and it works 100% of the time. People say it must be the aloe in the soap that does the magic, but I think all those other complex chemicals do a good job of cleaning the skin also.
As long as I wash my face really good with Irish Spring every 12 hours, my skin stays perfectly clear. And I can use whatever shaving cream I want, and whatever lotion on my face, and I never get breakouts, except lotion with shea butter or coco-butter (Wash your face in the shower with Irish Spring *before* you shave).
The only other thing that makes me break out is Nestle Semi-sweet chocolate chips in cookies. So I never eat any nestle chocolate anymore, just hershey's.
I guarantee if you use Irish Spring bar soap (the new one with *aloe*) you will never get another pimple for the rest of your life! It's awesome! I wish I would have known about it back in highschool so I never would have had pimples in the first place, but they didn't have aloe in Irish Spring back then.
And I use to get acne constantly on my back when I used coca-butter Tone bar soap. But now with Irish Spring, no pimples anywhere, just nice smooth skin. And the ingredients of Irish Spring are a lot of crazy industrial chemicals, but they do the trick! Better than any organic soap I've tried for acne. I promise you, after trying Irish Spring with aloe, you will thank God I told you about it!
*To renew your skin and remove old acne scars, use pure aloe vera gel on your face for one hour every day, then wash off with Irish Spring.
It's the luck of the IRISH!How can i get rid of acne fast and without wasting money?
Use a cleanser with benzoyl peroxide in it in the morning and before bed. Clean %26amp; Clear continuous acne control cleanser is a great one, available at walmart.
Then one other time during the day, wash with plain, original yellow Dial bar soap. It is an antibacterial agent.
My face cleared up in less than 2 weeks using this routine, but you have to stick to it.
try eating nothing but apples in three days. and lots of water! every night flush out the apples with an enema. and every night apply castor oil to your skin. and then on the third(last) day, drink grape juice and two table spoons of olive oil. your acne should be cleared. i havent tried this method but i will. let me know how it works out for you. oh and once you've finshed the apples, on the fourth day, take it easy on your stomach dont eat something real big. ok :)

What is a good foundation for acne scars?
i broke out a lot earlier this year.and i got left with acne scars does anybody know of a g0od foundation that lasts long doesn't cause breakouts and isn't cakey???What is a good foundation for acne scars?
i would try a scar fading cream or something.. talk to the person at the chemist... also lemon juice or peroxide or teatree oil can help fade over time... i mix the 3 together.. and they have faded a lot... exfoliate ur face and moisturise with a non oil based cream.. as for the foundation... i think that most will cause break outs... ask the chemist lady... if your acne is still bad.. u could get tablets from the doctor

How do u get rid of acne scarring?
i am 22 and i never had acne be4 but since i been stressed i have been breaking out like crazy. well any way i have been using proactiv and my skin is clearing but i have some acne scarring does that ever go away? and wat can i use to make it go away? How do u get rid of acne scarring?
I'm the same age as you and had the same problem, stressed out and had a bad breakout FOR A WHOLE YEAR, on my face (especially my chin), my chest and my back... oh my I thought it would never go away, but I got an anti-biotic from the doctor and it cleared up in 2 months. My scarring was really bad, but they are now really fading and clearing up finally. I don't use anything specific, I just wash and moisturise morning and night, drink lots of water and take a vitamin supplement. My advice to you is just be patient and give your scars time to heal. If you wear make-up, try to remove it whenever you're at home to let your skin breathe.
Good luck with it anyway. It won't be long before you're back to your beautiful self. How do u get rid of acne scarring?
Tahitian Noni face care products look it up online it really helps.
dermatologist will help
I would suggest getting a buff puff, a rough scouring pad that removes outer layers of skin, allowing new skin to replace old.
Most any drug store should have one.
For a variety of answers to acne scarring, go to the top of the yahoo/answers page, and in the search box type, acne scarring, click search, go from there.
Hope that helps.
Neutrogena Illuminating Microderm Cleansing Pads in combination with MD Skincare Alpha-Beta and Philosophy Save me.
A little expensive, but trust me, completly worth it.
If you don't want to spend that much, just get the cleansing pads and any vitamin c lotion. Sunblock SPF 30 is a must. Put it on top of the lotion.
At night, just use the lotion.
You can try Lumene, it has vitamin C in it, they sell it at Walmart.
If your marks are very severe, once a week you can use the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel with CelluZyme.
it'll help, i swear.myspace

How do you get rid of acne thats on your forehead?
I started getting zits on my forehead in the summer and they come and then go and then it comes back again! I tried this murad stuff and it didnt work and I pulled back my bangs so they aren't on my face anymore, so nothing is working it won't go away what should I do
ThanksHow do you get rid of acne thats on your forehead?
If you had pop them or strach them use a antibiotic cream (nerospion)
so it would not get infected and leave a darker scar.
I had the same problem until I had research some of the OTC products on the market so far it is Neutrogena that has been working.
use a product that is oil free I like Acne stress control line form Neutrogena.
use the evaluation to find which product will work for you .
http://www.neutrogena.com/PersonalEvalua鈥?/a>
then try to find the store brand of the that Neutrogenas product. (save money)
How do you get rid of acne thats on your forehead?
Honey you are 12! (You said that from your other question)
You are going through changes so what do you expect to happen? EVERYONE get pimples and breaks out. ESPECIALLY at your age!
Ok, so here are my tips:
*Do NOT touch your face with your dirty hands! ALWAYS wash your hands before touching your face. You do know what a pimple is right? It is just dirt and oil and if you touch your face throughout the day, well, you are getting dirt on it!
*Wash your face twice a day, morning and night. No more than twice a day!
*DO NOT, DO NOT pop, squeeze, pick at your zits and pimples! That is the worst thing that you can do! This causes scars, infection and MORE pimples!
Sorry honey but you are 12 and this is what you go through, what I went through and all other girls. In the meantime just try to keep your face as clean as possible!
Good luck!
xoxo

How do you get rid of acne scars?
i've been trying and i have no idea how!
the acne is not so bad anymore, but the scars are so frustrating!! anybody help! any remedy is good...How do you get rid of acne scars?
Mederma- Works great on all types of scars.
You can also look into a gentle micro dermabrasion. Usually ance scares are just on the surface of the skin so with good face/skin care they will go away.
Good LuckHow do you get rid of acne scars?

mederma from places like target helped me
ACNEFREE?
try mederma cream..its one of the best creams...recomended by most doctors and it eliminates discoloration on your skin due to cuts, burns, operation, acne and any kind of scar in general...
it is very good, i ve tried it when i had surgery and it really works...
might be a little expensive but if u order it online its always cheaper.
good luck!
I had odd-coloring scars and I used exfolaiting scrubs and they helped a lot. I have very pale freckled skin so the scras stood out. Now I don't have to cover up my cute freckles to hide the acne marks.
Vitamin E applied after ever shower and skin whitener. It won't get rid of it but it will soften it up a lot.

Does Proactiv really get rid of acne?
I am looking to buy it this week on the website but its $60 and the bottles are like only 4oz each. Does proactiv really work is it a reasonable price. I could get a cheaper one instead.
Also I heard clean and clear is also good but which one is the best?
Have you used it? Does it work?Does Proactiv really get rid of acne?
yes Proactiv worked for me but you have to use all 3 of the products! or it wont clear your skin. that includes the cleanser, facial mask, and the thing you apply after washing your face ( green liquid). For awhile i actually used all 3 of them daily and my skin was cystal clear but i got lazy and just used the cleanser solo ...my zits came back. so if youre gonna use Proactiv you have to stay dedicated and use all 3 as recommended.Does Proactiv really get rid of acne?
My sister gave me a 2oz. bottle of the repairing lotion. For alot of people, using the whole system is very drying and irritating so she learned that if you just use the repairing lotion, you'll have excellent results. I have been using it for about 4 days and my skin has improved so drastically. I break out terribly around my jaw line and it's clearing up beautifully now. I'm so happy. Just buy the repairing lotion and put it on morning and night but make sure you wash your face first with whatever soap you normally use :o) Wherever you can buy proactiv, you can buy the repairing lotion. You don't need the membership or any of that stuff. I actually looked on ebay earlier and it's way cheaper than buying it direct.
It did not work for me.
For good skin regime, use a gentle cleanser, some benzoyl peroxide (I use it only at night), and a sunscreen everyday.
You should speak with a dermatologist if you really have questions about your skin. A dermatologist can prescribe Retin-A or other prescription drugs. She can also make treat you for other causes of skin problems, or give you prescriptions for really good products, such as a face wash similar to ProActive, but more effective.
Seeing a dermatologist may also help you feel better in knowing that this acne is a common skin ailment for many, many people. Just find someone who listens to you.
There are a lot of better Neutragene products
but Proactiv is worth it and it takes a little longer to work
than others, but it lasts longer
I have it, and I don't regret spending that much money
its better than wasting and wasting more money on products
that don't work
but Neutragena works and isn't that expensive
so you can buy those two
YES.
I had horrible skin and it was so frustrating, I tried everything from Clean %26amp; Clear to Neutrogena and finally my mom got me Proactiv when I was like.. 16 and for a few days my skin peeled (which is good, it is shedding the dry, oily skin) and after that it was clear. I'm 20 now and I still use Proactiv every morning and night, and my skin is still clear :)
You know I use proactiv and it has worked wonders on my face. I'm perfectly clear now and have been for years but my best friend tried using it for a year and it didn't help her at all. It just really depends. My suggestion is try finding a store that sells it. There is a kiosk in my mall that sells it a lot cheaper than anywhere else and its legit.
Good luck!
yes it does...but it you stop using it ..like i did for 3 days
i woke up and my face was covered with zits again
thats the bad thing about proactive...once you stop using it...more will come back
clean and clear are just like all the other acne products...not that go
i say go to your dermatologist..
IT DOES YOU JUST HAVE TO USE IT CONSTANTLY OR IT WILL NOT GET ANY BETTER...I SUGGEST YOU DON'T START ...maybe you should go to neutragena or clean and clear and make a routine out of that... i use clean and clear...i have a system goin..1 deep cleanin facial cleanser 2 astrigent 3 a moisturizer...twice a day it works!
its the second best acne wash in the world ( read it on one site)
but....... it depends on you
i've known people who LUVVV it cus it works and all
and
i've known people who say it doesnt work at all
i would try the Skin ID from Nuetrogena first but thats just me
Yes it does work i've been using it for a while now but i always forget to use it or im too tired to get up and do it before i go to bed...if your gonna get it and spend the money make sure you use it everyday.
for me it did work, for a while.
but then my skin just got used to it so it stopped working like it should.
im using skin id now, and that is working a lot better for me then proactiv did, just a suggestion
I used it a while back and it did not work for me at all. It did work for everyone else I know who used it though, so I would say go ahead and try it for a while.
I use proactiv and it works really well. I say try clean and clear first though to see if it works for your skin, if it doesnt then jump up to the higher priced item.
Not really. I used it for 2 months and it did nothing but when I quit using it my acne went away. I can't tell if it was proactiv or just maturing but while using proactiv it never did anything anyway.
i use proactive and it works pretty good if you have acne. some of my friends have used it and it made them break out. i guess it depends tho
I use proactive and i love it. I thought they were cheaper now though.. and yes it really does work but not on everyone
my brother used to use it, but it depends on skin type.
i would try a cheap one and if it doesnt work try proctive.
Also I heard clean and clear is also good but which one is the best?

but then my skin just got used to it so it stopped working like it should.
im using skin id now, and that is working a lot better for me then proactiv did, just a suggestion

I would recommend scrubbing your back really well in the shower. And you may want to try regular acne medications and cremes they may work.

-Dab lemon juice over particularly big pimples/blemishes
-Get 1 table spoon of baking soda and add water to make a thick paste, leave this paste on for 30 minutes then wash off with warm water (it stings, so when it does don't be alarmed)

They arent big marks or bad scabs...but i woke up this morning with a bunch of them....i have neosporin cream on them...how long will it take to heal? how will my face be by friday??How long do those red marks/scabs on your forehead from picking at acne usually last?
Sometimes they can turn into scars and sometimes they will diseapper within daysHow long do those red marks/scabs on your forehead from picking at acne usually last?
neasporin might give you more acne go to the skin dotor they will help
if you really want to heal it fast you can ask your doctor for a Rx form of neosporin which will work much better and wont cause excess oil like the normal neosporin will and for me this works in 2-3 days and you dont have to deal with a sticky mess -- the rx is called clindamycin phosphate and it comes in a gel that dries clear so you can use it during the day and not look like a freak
i dont know!
u can't tell for sure.
some last forever and some go away in a few days....
keep putting that cream on and all clean it everyday maybe twice a day with alcohol, let it dry off and stuff and put then cream on.
there fresh and u take care of them should be gone by friday...
hope this helped! C:
it should take 3 days maximum...but if you have a poor diet or a lack of nutrients in your body, your skin will heal much slower....myspace
