I just want to reduce the appearance of it. Is body acne common?
I refuse to take Accutane.....What is a surefire way for a 27-year old with acne on his shoulders and back to clean it up?
I know this sounds like an old-timey remedy and doesn't seem safe with all the warnings against skin cancer today, but I've known several people who've had their skin (face and back) clear up exponentially by going bare-shirted in the sun for awhile.
Also, I hear raves about Proactive. People really do swear that it works.
Good luck!!What is a surefire way for a 27-year old with acne on his shoulders and back to clean it up?
I've heard Head and Shoulders is good for body acne. Apparently, it's because of the zinc in it.
I saw it on the forum at www.acne.org once.
My brother is 31 years old and still has this problem. However he has been able to control it with change in eating habits and all natural remedies. He has reduced the amount of processed foods that he eats(which is very important), uses Burt's Bees Blemish Stick (as do I for the few pimples that I get on my face), and we both use Colostrum Cream which is all natural and aids in the healing process.
I am huge fan of Burt's Bees skin care products since I have sensitive skin, look into it and see if this would help you!
Good luck!

You should probably change your shirt twice a day whether you exercise or not to avoid bacteria buildup.Try http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/ for more info.
get microdermaabration or get a chemical peel done its a surfire way
I use tanning beds (but not that frequently) and I never have any on my back anymore. try it a few times. You can also skip using a soap/body wash on your back b/c this just leaves a residue that can clog pores. Instead, use a vinegar rinse. (mix equal parts water and apple cider vinegar or any vinegar) and pour over your back just before you're about to get out of the shower. the vinegar balances your skin again (acne is from an inbalance), removes any residue and cleans you greatly.
