How to cover up widespread acne?

I have really bad acne on my cheeks and lots of red marks. How can I cover them up well? (Im already on acne treatment, I just want to be able to cover them for school and stuff. Im tired of being the only girl with acne all over her face, you can't even see a clear patch of skin!)How to cover up widespread acne?
This is probably going to sound stupid, but I got a side swept bang and it covered some of my acne! I tried makeup too, but it doesn't seem to help much. How to cover up widespread acne?
Bare Minerals is good for a lot of people. Lately it's been bugging me, making me itchy. But I know that people say that it's actually helped with their acne.

A cheaper alternative is Everyday Minerals. They get awesome reviews and they even offer a generous amount of free samples, you just have to pay for shipping. https://www.everydayminerals.com/index.p鈥?/a> (it's the third one down)

For the red marks, try a green concealer, it will neutralize the red. Then pat on your foundation so you won't look like an alien.

Hope that helped!
clinique superfit. its good for oily skin and is long wearing. i use it all the time on girls that come in with acne. its also fragrance free allergy tested oilfree so it would be good with ur acne probs
Bare Escentuals is great for acne-proned skin. Its all minerals so it does irritate your skin or worsen its condition and its wonderful coverage!

You sound like me. Or used to be. I didn't have really bad acne, but I was the only PERSON in my grade with acne. I'm using Stridex Dual Solutions and it is working wonders on me. I can't wait to go back to school and show everyone how much I've changed. But over the counter products may not work for you. You should really see a dermotologist if you haven't already. Normally when people suggested that to me, I just would shrug it off. But really, it sounds severe. I know exactly how you feel. You feel so alone, but then when you come on Y!A you see all the questions about acne. Then you think ';Well then what the HELL is wrong with my school? Why am I the only person with acne?'; Anyway, back to your question about the red spots. Get some oil-free moisturizer, green concealer, and tan concealer. Make sure to buy good quality skin care products! To find some amazing quality cosmetics, go to a department store and talk to the people that work there. They'll know exactly what will and won't work for your skin tone. After you have gotten all the products you need, dab a small amount of the moisturizer on the spot you wish to conceal. Dab a small amount of the green moisturizer on the spot. Dab, don't rub. If you rub, it won't mix properly. The green and red tones will even each other out, and it will look much more natural. Don't apply more than you absolutely need! If you wear foundation, this is the time to apply it. Put on a tiny bit of the tan concealer. Again, not too much! And remember to dab, not rub. If you want to draw more attention away from the spot, then apply bright eye makeup(not recommended for guys lol). People's eyes will be drawn there, instead of to your spot. You will ALWAYS find the best quality products at department stores! Remember; quality, not quantity. ALWAYS DAB, and never rub! The spot you are concealing may not even be that big, or noticeable! If you're a nice person with a great personality, people most likely won't even know its there! Don't use white or ';under-eye'; concealers on your nose, cheeks, chin or forehead. Get a concealer that matches your natural skin-tone. If you use an under-eye concealer on a blemish, it will make it appear larger! UGH! The key part of this is not to apply too much. If you goop the stuff on, it'll draw attention to the spot, instead of away. Any of the listed products may cause irritation to the red spot or your skin in general. Avoid cheap and expired products, and keep on the look out for hypoallergenic products! For the actual pimples, Wash your face with a medicated acne cleanser, not a scrub.(Ex, noxema cream cleanser, clean and clear cream cleanser) Apply a hydrating toner, not a drying one.(Try The Body Shop Vitamin E toner) Then moisturize using vitamin E gel, or aloe vera gel or a water based moisturizer. If you have dark circles under your eyes, use an eye brightener cream and gently pat in with your pinky. (Try Dove Eye Brightener cream) DO NOT USE A HEAVY LIQUID FOUNDATION OR CONCEALER! No matter how bad your skin is, use a tinted moisturizer (like clinique or almay) because a)even if you have lots of skin blemishes, most of your face still does not need coverage and b)tinted moisturizers are SO easy to match to your skin tone and you will avoid the fake color look...you only need to pick if you are light, medium, or dark usually. With your fingers, dab small dots of tinted moisturizer on your chin, forehead, nose, cheeks. Use your fingertips to blend in a circular motion. Don't try and cover all your blemishes at this point - just create a sheer, base layer to cover the smallest imperfections. Now use a concealer brush (should look a bit bigger than an eyeshadow brush, and be firm but not stiff) to try and cover directly bigger imperfections with tinted moisturizer. What isn't covered, use the same brush and a liquid concealer (covergirl or maybelline) to apply the tiniest amount of concealer directly to the blemish only. Use a smaller (eyeliner brush) one if necessary. If you have any oozing or oily blemishes, use the concealer brush to apply some loose powder directly to it. Otherwise, use a natural bristle brush to apply loose powder to set the make up. Use a transparent shade of loose powder, try Clinique. Brush in a circular upward motion. If putting on the powder revealed any blemishes, use a smaller brush (eyeliner brush) and a tiny bit of tinted moisturizer to reconceal. Then set by gently dabbing some powder over. Wipe any excess powder from your brows. Curl your eyelashes and apply black mascara to the top only. Use a lengthening mascara not a thickening one---these only clump and look awful. Put a second coat on just the tips. Use a liquid cheek tint (try Benefit Brand) and put four small dots on the apples of your cheek and gently blend with your finger tip. Use a bronzer (only a few shades darker than your own skin!) and apply lightly to hairline, nose and chin. Use your fingertip and apply some to your eyelid outer corners. Good luck. Remember, you're not alone...even though it feels like it, huh?
